The Federation of Muslim women Associations (FOMWAN) of Nigeria has the decried the alarming rate of date among Nigerian women during child birth.
This followed the disclosure by the Project Director of Partnership for advocacy in Child and Family (FOMWAN chapter) during a one day sensitization workshop on Family Planning, immunization and nutrition for representatives of faith-based organizations and other women’s groups in Abuja recently.
Nigeria has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world.
