Ethiopia, Thailand to Cooperate in Health Tourism, Investment Sectors
Foreign Minister Dr. Tedros Adhanom bade farewell Thai Ambassador Peerasak Chantavarin yesterday. The two sides agreed to forge cooperation in health tourism and investment sectors.

Minister Dr. Tedros reiterated that Ethiopia has a lot to learn from Thailand’s strong health sector, adding that his country will work to emulate the Thai health tourism industry.
The Minister said Thai investors are encouraged to open hospitals and engage in other investment sectors in the country. The outgoing Ambassador Peerasak Chantavarin also emphasized on the need to initiate cooperation in health tourism and various investment fields, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ambassador also noted that the Ethio-Thai Cultural Exchange programs will be further promoted. He said: “As Addis is the capital of Africa, we’ll further strengthen our ties with Ethiopia and the AU.”
