A UNICEF report released recently in Geneva, said that an estimated 320,000 children risk severe malnutrition which could leave a child vulnerable to deadly respiratory infections such as pneumonia and water borne diseases.

The UNICEF Representative, Julien Harnies, said the World Food Programme has alerted that nearly half of Yemeni’s 22 provinces are on the verge of famine and over 13 million people need food aid, she also said UNICEF has delivered nutritional supplies and vaccines against measles, polio and other childhood diseases to the country of 24million but that was not enough.
