400 Elderly persons benefited from the Anglican free Medicare in Delta.
As part of preparation for the 2016 Asaba Diocese Elderly people’s week tagged’’ serving God through elderly people’’ which is set to begin on September 26,
the Out- reach Medical Coordinator, Dr. Mordi Ononye, said that No fewer than 400 elderly persons have benefited from a 0ne-day free medical care programme of the church in Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Asaba Diocese, Delta state. Dr. Ononmye, also said that about 100 personnel were enlisted to voluntarily render services to elderly, noting that several ailments relating to old age such as hypertension, diabetes, eye problems, arthritis and even terminal diseases were what the church want to reduce, and that the programme would be held annually so that the elderly could have longer span, adding that; No critical case was detected.
