Aftermath of Boko Haram on Sassawa, yobe: seven more bodies found

It appears the Nigerian Military lost additional seven soldiers during the attack by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists on Tuesday (24/10/17) at a military formation in Sassawa village in Damaturu Local Government Area, Yobe State.
The additional seven bodies bring the total number of military loss to 15 including an officer
According to the Daily Trust, the soldiers were taken unawares on a football pitch at about 6pm on the said day by the terrorists who arrived in five hilux trucks; apart from the dead, several others were injured.
After the attack, the terrorists raided several shops in the village acrting away various food items.
Sassawa village is about 37 kilometres from Damaturu, the state capital.
