A/Ibom Moves to Upgrade Facilities at State-owned Hospitals.
During this month’s September Government House prayer held at the Latter House Chapel in Uyo, Gov Udom Emmanuel, disclosed that Government of Akwa Ibom State,
said it has commenced replacement and upgrade of all equipment at hospitals across the state, and the move is to enable the hospitals provide better health service to the people, saying that all necessary equipment ordered from United States of America for the upgrade are now ready and would soon arrive in the country. The governor, who decried the high level of vandalism of public utilities especially electric transformers by hoodlums, said very soon, the long arm of the law would catch up with the criminals, and He called on youths in the state to be vigilant and desist from colluding with criminals and gangs from other states to perpetrate evil and rob the state of its public infrastructures. The governor who announced that this year, state government’s anniversary celebration would be low key to enable citizens reflect, said that security is everybody’s business and should not be left for the security men alone.
