Exposure to high levels of air pollution can increase the risk of premature birth by 19%, especially in the third trimester, scientists have revealed.
Preterm birth occurs before 37weeks of pregnancy and it is a leading cause of infant death according to the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
