The Government of Anambra State, South-East Nigeria, has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with an NGO, Christian Aid for the fight against Malaria in the State.

The battle will be fought in all 21 LGAs of the State involving 16 Primary Health Clinics, one General hospital and 30 community selected resource persons in each LGA.

According to the State Health Commissioner, Malaria accounts for 63 percent of all hospital attendance, 80 percent of under five child death and 11 percent maternal mortality.
