In partnership with Britain’s Cambridge Mask Company, city-based Atlanta Healthcare introduced technologically advanced military grade anti-pollution masks for the Indian market here on Friday. The move is aimed at strengthening Atlanta Healthcare’s presence in the air purification space. “We are excited to be working in close partnership with Cambridge Mask Co. and bring world class anti-pollution masks to the Indian market to combat extreme air pollution. While we have best of class products to cater to indoor air pollution, we felt that quality products like Cambridge mask would help our customers to breathe pure even when outdoor,” Vibhor Jain, CEO, Atlanta Healthcare, said on the occasion. “This move will allow us to venture into a wider community and expand our consumer base in the country,” Jain said. Using the military grade technology and three layer micro particulate filter, the mask provides protection against dust pollution up to 0.3 micron and has achieved N99 standard of particulate filtration. “Air pollution is a major issue in India, particularly in Delhi which is one of the most polluted city across the world. We believe no one should worry going outside and the mask has been designed that provides protection as well as is fashionable,” Christopher J Dobbing, Founder of Cambridge Mask Company, said at the event. The masks come with three layers of protection. The primary filter layer has been designed to eliminate dust particles. The second layer, three-ply micro particulate layer will block the particulate pollution such as PM2.5.  The third and final layer, military grade carbon layer, is made from a 100 per cent activated carbon cloth, originally invented by the British Ministry of Defence and comprises a series of activated carbon filaments, each about 2,000 nanometres in diametre.
