Australia is the only developed country in the world where Trachoma is still prevalent.

Trachoma or granular conjuctivitis is a contagious chronic inflammation of the mucous membranes of the eyes, characterized by swelling of the eye lids and increased sensitivity to light.

It is found in more than 40 countries where poor sanitation and limited access to fresh water persist.
