Tasmania, a state in Australia, plans to raise the smoking age from 18 years to 21 or 25 years; this make the state the place with the strictest anti-smoking law in the world.
Over 20 percent of Tasmanians smoke despite active public health programs against smoking.
However, the implementation may be difficult.
