A tiny premature baby was incredibly kept alive after quick-thinking doctors placed her inside a tesco sandwich bag to keep her warm.

Pixie Griffiths-Grant weighed just 1.1 Ibs at birth by Caesarian Section and was put in the tesco bag to stop her body temperature from dropping. She was immediately moved to the intensive care unit in an incubator where she lived for the next three months.

Pixie, 5 months on, and weighing 7.5 Ibs.; the same weight as a newborn has been discharged and doing well.
