A boat mishap occurred yesterday in Lagos State along the Ikorodu-Lagos water way.
The boat said to be enclosed developed steering problem during the voyage and so could not be controlled, meanwhile, being enclosed the passengers could not jump out of the boat easily, in the stampede, the boat apparently capsized.
There were twenty passengers and two crew members in the boat, five died while seventeen were rescued.
The owner of the boat has been arrested while investigation is on.
