In what appears to be the largest anti-paedophile operation so far in the world, authorities in Brazil have arrested 108 persons said to be involved in paedophilia in 24 states and the capital, Brazilia.
This followed about six months investigations involving both American and  European immigration officials.
The suspects arrested include retired policemen, civil servants and persons in-charge of youth football clubs.
Items seized include about 150,000 files containing images of children and babies being abused.
