Britons asked to take two days off alcohol per week

The Chief Medical Officer of England, Sally Davies, has advised Britons from next week to stay off alcohol for about two or three days a week to give their livers time to rest. She will also advise them to reduce the volume of alcohol consumed on consumption days; men and women are to have different limits.

However, experts believe there should no disparity between men and women and maintain that any level of alcohol is injurious to health.
