The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has lifted the ban on Guinea from hosting international football matches for national and club teams on Monday the 4th of January 2016. This followed the announcement by the World Health Organisation that Guinea is now Ebola free.

The ban was placed in August 2014in the height of the Ebola outbreak. During the period of ban, Guinea had to play its home matches abroad, in Morocco.
