A new study report by a US team has apparently re-ignited a controversy on the use of cell phones and a possible association with brain and heart cancer.
In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer placed classified electromagnetic (radiofrequency {RF}) radiation as a possible human carcinogenic.

The study was led by researchers at the US National Toxicology Program which is under the National Health Institute. It involved thousands of rats which were exposed to appropriate levels of RF radiation similar to exposure experienced by humans using the cell phone. The exposure of the rats to the radiation was for about nine hours daily for about two years beginning from in-utero.
The rats were found to develop rare forms of brain and heart cancers at frequency that is consistent with duration of exposure and level of radiation.
The report does not in any way confirm a possibility in human but gives food for thought..
