According to a press note that reached Angop on Wednesday, the financial donation of Five Hundred Thousand US Dollars in foreign currency was offered by the Chinese Government to the Angolan side in order to fight against the Yellow fever outbreak in the country.
The document states that the Chinese Government will follow up the development of the current Yellow fever outbreak and provide more support for the Angolans if necessary.
The pledge is as a result a consensus reached in 2015 by the president of China, Xi Jinping and the Angola president Jose Eduardo dos Santos in order to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the health field
