Clerics, Community Leaders Task Women on Family Planning
Clerics and community leaders have embarked on a healthcare campaign across Oyo State which calls on women in the state to embrace family planning to boost their personal health and that of their children.

The campaign / awareness rally initiated by the Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI) took the clerics and community leaders to Egbeda Local Government Council Area where one of the team leaders, Alfa Shuaib Oyebamiji, the Imam/ Amir Musulumi in Ogungbade area, said that Islam enjoins women to breastfeed for two years, and this reason corroborates the fact that women should ensure space between one child and the other.Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Egbeda Local Government Area, Pastor Adesola Gbolagade said it was important to plan for the number of children to be born.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairman, Community Development Council, Egbeda Local Government, Chief John Olabode Olaogun said it has become clear for people to embrace the initiative saying that couples must plan their sexual life so as not to run into trouble, NURHI Team leader in Oyo State,
