Council flags off e-licensing for medical lab scientists
The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) has launched an e-licensing system for medical laboratory scientists in the country.

The E-licensing system was flagged off together with IHRIS, a health worker training, licensing and certification tracking system, during the third stakeholders meeting of the council in Abuja and took effect from the  month of August. Acting Registrar of the council, Mr Tosan Erhabor, in a statement at the weekend said medical laboratory scientists can now print their 2016 license from the comfort of their homes and offices.  “The procedure has been hoisted on the council’s website and would go a long way in removing the bottlenecks experienced by members in their quest to obtain their annual license to practice,” he said. He also presented a policy agenda for his administration since taking over from the slain Acting Registrar of the council, Mrs, Olufunke saying, “it is a policy strategy for implementation hinged on tripartite agenda of Registration, Regulation, and Accreditation driven by 15 measurable cardinal points.”  Erhabor said his administration has already kick started its bottom –up approach in order to deviate from the norms which had given the council a bad name in, the past
