In a communiqué signed by Dr. Luka Samuel and Pharm Odibia Onalo, the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) urged the Federal Government to pay special attention to Diabetes and HIV/AIDS patients by providing drugs that would help in the management of pains suffered by the patients adding that providing pain relief for patient is part of their fundamental human rights.
The communiqué was issued after a two-day workshop on Neuropathic Pain and Management in Diabetes and HIV/AIDS that took place at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria, Kaduna State, North west Nigeria.
