A hard drug cartel has been uncovered by the National drug Enfocement Agency at the Akanu biam International airport , Enugu, South east Nigeria. This is contained in a statement released in Lagos by the spokes person of the agency, Mitchel Ofoyeju and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria.

Those suspected to be involved are said to be at large but they include staff of Ethiopian Airlines , the NDLEA and the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc.

It will be recalled that the Enugu airport was opened for international flights just three years ago and Ethiopian Airlines is the only airline that goes international from there.
