According to a psychologist, men take energy drinks to boost their manliness to impress the ladies, to behave like a rock star. However a recent study has highlighted the harmful effects of high consumption of energy drinks.
Energy drinks contain a lot of caffeine and heavy consumption can increase the blood pressure and also affect our response to stress hormones; the situation could much worse if the man also took alcohol, tobacco and recreational drugs.
The study was carried out by Dr. Anna Svatikova and published in the Journal of American Medical Association.
