A study by a US based team has suggested that exposure to violence can negatively affect the mental health of children.
The study was done at Texas Tech University Health Services in Juarex, Mexico; a drug enclave once called the murder capital of the world.There were bombings, kidnappings and decapitations on the streets.

The study found that the children who grew up in the violent part of the city were more prone to depression, aggression, anxiety, withdrawal and attention deficit
