The FCT Primary Health Care Development Board will hold another round of immunization against polio from April 12 to April 15 in the territory, an official said on Tuesday.

Dr Rilwanu Mohammed, the board’s Executive Secretary who announced this at a two-day workshop for vaccinators in Abuja, said the exercise could be the last for 2014 in the FCT.

The first exercise was conducted between March 1 and March 4. Mohammed said the polio vaccine, if given in multiple could protect a child for life, urging parents to present their children for the exercise so as to eradicate polio from Nigeria.
