The Mearsk Group, has introduced 18weeks maternity leave to all its female employees in Nigeria and 51 other countries on full contractual pay starting from April 4 this year as a way to encourage women to be more closer to their growing babies and for result oriented women to join their cooperation.

The maternity leave can be split into six weeks prior to birth and 12weeks after birth with 20 per cent reduced hours of work at full contractual pay for up to six months after returning to work according to Miss Bunmi pratt, HRM, APM Terminal in Nigeria.

This new policy supports our aim to retain the talented women working, improves term for women working for Mearsk in at least 51 countries; she added.
