The Finnish Government is ready and willing to partner with Nigeria in the area of health research, so says the Finnish Ambassador to Nigeria, Pirjo Suomela-Chordury. She said this on the 3rd of November during a courtesy visit of the Finland National Institute for Health and Welfare delegation to the National Institute of Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos, South-west Nigeria.

 

She stressed the need for both countries to collaborate in the fight against communicable and non-communicable diseases by exchanging ideas. Responding the Head of the National Institute for Medical Research called on the Finnish Government to reinstate the exchange programme between Nigeria and Finland which was cancelled some years back.
