The management of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, has expressed its readiness to serve as the teaching hospital for FUNAAB’s medical programme. The Chief Medical Director of FMC, Abeokuta Dr. Dapo Sotiloye said he received the proposal of FUNAAB mainstreaming its programmes with joy. With the personnel and equipment of FMC, Sotiloye said it would be easy for FUNAAB to run a standard teaching hospital. “Whatever is demanded of us within our powers, we would not hesitate to do it,” he said. The FUNAAB Vice-Chancellor, Prof Olusola Oyewole, said mainstreaming would help the university expand access to higher education.

“Our vision is to contribute to the development of our people. While agriculture remains the flagship of our university, we go into other areas of life that would promote development of our people,” he said.
