Speaking at the distribution of grains to orphans and the less privileged in Chimola district of Gwadabawa Local Government Area of Sokoto, North west Nigeria, the Chairman of the Sokoto state Zakkat and Endowment Committee, Alhaji Lawal Maidoki said that no less than 6,569 mentally-ill patients would be provided with free drugs and treatment this year.
He also said the sum of N10 million has been earmarked for the provision of free drugs and treatment for the mentally-ill patients whose names have been compiled from the 86 districts in the state.
