Gambia: WHO, Partners Present Medical Equipment to Health Ministry
The World Health Organisation (WHO), United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), 

on Mondaypresented medical equipment to The Gambia government through the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare as a support to the country’s efforts in preparedness and control of all health emergencies.The materials presented include 10kg powder soaps, soap bar boxes, hand sanitizers both big and small bottles, veronica buckets, tap heads, bleaches, bed sheets and pillows, plastic slippers, mattresses, beds, hangers for disinfected boots, operation laps, bed pans, urine bottles, sputum cups, vomit bowls, drip stands, wheel chairs, chairs, heavy duty gloves, tooth brushes, wellington boots, calibrated nursing sag, amongst others. Speaking at the presentation ceremony at the Central Medical Stores in Kotu, the WHO Country Representative Dr. Charles Segoe-Moses, said the this presentation is in support to the country’s preparedness and response to health emergencies.
