The Nigeria Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH), National Primary Healthcare Development Agency of Nigeria (NPHCDA), the United State Agency for International Development (USAID) partners with GE to launch the new Healthymagination Mother and Child Initiative (HMCI).
This partnership is expected to increase access to ante natal screening with Vscan Access to over 2 million expectant mothers in Nigeria, it is meant to reduce maternal and infant mortality rate.
The programme is also aimed at empowering midwives with basic obstetric skills, mobilize mothers to seek for more Antenatal care (ANC) visits and to improve clinical decision making and pregnancy management.
