As part of directives from the State’s Standard Authority, the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority (GFDA) has resolved to ban the sales of cosmetic products that contain the skin bleaching ingredients Hydroquinone’ and to deter users of the cancer-causing chemicals within the country. The GFDA spokesperson, James Lartey has also confirmed that all products containing hydroquinone will not be allowed into the country from August 2016.
