Some health workers in Nigeria have decided to embark on a nationwide strike if the Federal Government refuses to implement their demand.
A joint statement signed by the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) and Assembly of Health Care Professional Associations (APHA) and released in Abuja says that their demand should be  met before the February 17, 2016.

There demands include immediate payment of arrears, skipping of CONCESSION which has remained outstanding since the year 2010 and also increment of workers’ salaries
Giving them assurance, the Minister of Health Prof. Isaac Adewale pledged to ensure a strike free Health Sector; saying that this present administration would do everything possible to meet up to their demands.
