A renowned New York City Hospital has agreed to pay a whopping $2.2.million to settle a probe into alleged disclosure of protected health information of two patients during filming of ABC News health series. This is because the filming was done without obtaining the prior consent of the individuals.

The hospital in defence said they did it to educate the public and provide insight into the complexities of medical care and daily challenges faced by dedicated and compassionate medical professionals.
