A-team of Indian scientist from the prestigious Massachusetts institution of Technology and Harvard Medical School has made an important breakthrough by developing a nanotechnology which will help monitor the effectiveness of cancer treatment.

Speaking on this, the principal investigator at Massachusetts institute of Technology, Shiladitya Sen Gupta, said “we have developed a nanotechnology, which first delivers an anti- cancer drug specifically to the tumor, if the tumor start dying or regressing, it then start lightening up the tumor in real time, with this way you can now monitor whether a chemotherapy is working or not in real time, and switch the patient to the right drug early on”.
