Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya’s wife has urged women to give birth in hospitals. Priscilla Oparanya said the county government has identified 345 traditional birth attendants to educate women on the need to deliver in health facilities.

“We realised TBAs are highly valued by expectant women in villages,” she said. She spoke at Matungu Health Centre after launching the Beyond Zero Campaign. Priscilla said birth attendants play a great role in encouraging pregnant women to go to clinics.
