The Lagos State Government on Wednesday urged residents to report any anomaly relating to healthcare delivery noticed within their communities to appropriate agencies.
Dr Yewande Adesina, the Special Adviser to Gov. Babatunde Fashola on Health, made the plea at the 3rd Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) interactive grassroots meeting in Ikorodu.
Adesina was represented by Prof. Kola Oyedeji, a member of HEFAMMA Board.
“This is not trying to expose anybody, but a way of correcting the anomalies neither is it a case of trying to witch-hunt,” she said.
According to her, health is wealth and everyone should play his part in ensuring that people are healthy.
Earlier, Mr Tayo Bello, the HEFAMMA chairman, advised members of the public not to fall prey to quacks and to notify the agency of their activities.
According to him, the agency has received reports on many health facilities being run by quacks, which portends danger to the people.
