No fewer than 11,900 children in Gwaram Local Government council of Jigawa State, North west Nigeria, have been immunized against polio in the on-going immunization program me.

The council information officer, Mallam Nasiru Yusuf, during an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that the council has received enough doses of oral polio vaccine for the smooth conduct of the exercise.

He also said that the chairman, had urged parents to bring out children yet to be immunized, to centers close to their respective communities to safeguard their wards against killer diseases.
