The wife of Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State, Dr. Linda Ayade, has canvassed availability of more condoms in the state as the state gears up for the December Calabar Carnival. Speaking in Calabar, she said that her call was in the spirit of global efforts to eradicate HIV/AIDS by the year 2030. Speaking ahead of the World AIDS Day themed: Hands UP for #HIV Prevention,

Mrs Ayade also said that the state government was supporting the use of more condoms for those who could not abstain from sex, and because they were as usual expecting increased number of visitors in the next few days. She said the state would be supporting social protection, sexual education, testing, faithfulness and abstinence.
