The National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) in collaboration with the Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF) has launched a popular version of Nigeria’s HIV/AIDS anti discrimination Act 2014 in Abuja, the Federal capital territory of Nigeria.

According the Director-General, Prof. John Idoko, the Act is meant to make it illegal to discriminate against people based on their HIV status.

The Act also prohibits any employer, individuals or organization from requiring a person to take the HIV test as a precondition for employment or access to services.
