NAFDAC uncovers 300 bakers with fake, expired licences in Kwara

The National Food, Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Kwara state on Monday said about 300 bakers in the state are producing breads for public consumption with fake and expired NAFDAC Licenses.

The NAFDAC Coordinator in Kwara, Mrs Roseline Ajayi said during an interview with our reports in Ilorin that about 300 bakeries across the 16 local government areas of the state failed to either obtain their operational licenses or renew their expired licenses The coordinator said some of them were producing bread under unhygienic environment and without a label on their products for easy identification. Alayi noted that all the illegal acts of some bakers constitute health hazards for the residents of the state
