The Government of Tanzania has launched an HIV testing and counseling campaign for adolescent girls across the country to cultivate a culture of checking their health status.

Speaking during the launching ceremony of the campaign, the Minister for Health, Community development, Gender, Elderly and Children, Ms Ummy Mwalimu called upon girls and young women in all the seven highly-affected regions of Tanzania to take advantage of the campaign by turning out in large numbers to know their HIV status.
