Twenty-two ships laden with food items and petroleum products have arrived the Lagos ports.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this, yesterday, in a document, ‘Shipping Position’, it issued in Lagos.

The document indicated that 14 of the 22 ships arrived the ports with frozen fish, rice and general cargo.

It stated that the remaining eight ships arrived the ports with petrol, base oil and Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO).

The document added that NPA was expecting 34 ships in the Lagos ports fromJanuary 6 to 23.

The document showed that 15 of the expected ships would come in with containers, while 10 others would arrive with food items, including frozen fish, bulkwheat, bulk sugar, bulk salt and rice in bags.

According to the document, eight ships would arrive with general cargo and petroleum products, while a ship would arrive with vehicles.
