.Nigeria: 6-Year-Old Baby With Face Cancer Dies in Kaduna
Isa Mohammed, a six-year-old baby, who has been battling face cancer for over five years is dead.
He died on Friday at 4.30pm, according to his father, Tanimu Mohammed, and was buried at the Bachama road Muslim cemetery in Tudun Wada, Kaduna. Isa battled face cancer for over five years after being diagnosed with Retinoblastoma by an eye expert at the Cedio Rural Outreach Ministry, Cross Rivers State. Retinoblastoma is a rare form of cancer that rapidly develops from immature cells of a retina, the light-detecting tissue of the eye, and it is the most common malignant cancer of the eye in children. The tumour which was very graphic in appearance left Isa in pains as he had to use his hand to support his back each time he walked due to the weight.
