. Nigeria: Abaji, Bwari Set Up Task Force On Polio, Immunization
The chairmen of Abaji and Bwari Area Councils, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya and Hon. Musa Dikko, have each inaugurated task force on polio eradication and routine immunisation in their respective councils.

At the separate inaugurations, the chairmen said the decision followed the recent outbreak of wild polio in the country. While appointing the 10-man committee, Ajiya urged the committee members to ensure they worked round the clock in order to ensure effective coverage of polio/immunization exercise across the entire council. He further urged them to see the assignment as a big task and as a humanitarian service, saying there was need to ensure every child in the council is immunized and is polio free. The committee had Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Yunusa, as the chairman while members were drawn from National Orientation Agency, information unit of the council, Abaji Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Chief Imam of Abaji, head of personnel of the council and representative of the chairman as well as head of department for health of the council.
