According to the England’s Chief Medical Adviser, obesity is now the greatest threat to women’s health in England and she blames the food industry for it. She recommends the industry be taxed sugar tax to curtail the quantity of sugar in their products.

According to her, in 2013, 62 percent of women 45-54 years were either overweight or obese. Obesity is associated with many chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and cancer.
