Dementia affects about 35.6 million persons worldwide according to the World Health Organisation. The study says that one in three persons born in Britain this year (2015) will develop dementia.
Dementia is a brain disease characterized by loss (death) of brain cells resulting in mental dysfunction such as excessive memory loss, faulty thinking and inability to perform everyday actions.
The study was conducted by the office of Health Economics in the U.K.
