5. Pathcare Partners Megalectrics on Free Medical Mission At Alimosho
Speaking on behalf of Megalectrics Ltd, The director of Classic FM 97.3, Mr. Chukwuma “Chico” Aligwekwe, said Pathcare Laboratories Limited, in partnership with Megalectrics Limited, operators of Classic FM 97.3, Beat FM99.9 and Naija FM 102.7,
have carried out their 5th annual free medical mission for the grassroots at Alimosho LCDA., and the idea behind the medical mission and their aim so far might be extended to other parts of the state and the country in the nearest future. “The idea is to make healthcare accessible to people, who might not be able to afford it,” he explained. “Our main partners for this event is Pathcare, who have a programme on Classic FM called “Doctors on Air,” but the local governments, where we undertake the mission, have also become sponsors and some other organizations have started jumping into the annual event, as well.” The annual event was held on the premises of Alimosho Local Government office with no less than 1, 500 residents attended to. They also received medical counseling from a team of volunteer doctors involved in the exercise. Many people also accessed free eye test, HIV, cancer and hepatitis screening, as well as free drug.
