The Minister of Health in Somalia, Hawo Hassan Mohammed, has confirmed that 12 people have died of cholera while 60 others are suffering from diarrhea; all due to contaminated water as well as disruptions of vital infrasture such as health clinics, schools and roads in the middle Jubba region of the country.

He also said that 43 patients are being treated at a medical centre in Sarkow town; he added that the government is doing its best to handle the health conditions of the people by bringing medical assistance to those affected towns as soon as possible.
