PIL donate K5 million medical items to Mulanje district hospital, Malawi

In its continued efforts to assist Government in provision of quality health services, Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL), the major fuel importer for Malawi has donated medical equipment to Mulanje District Hospital worth K5 million.

Speaking during the handover PIL General Manager Enwell, Kadango has said that the health sector will remain one of the key focus areas in its corporate Social responsibility. “For People to contribute effectively to the development of the country, health is very important therefore any help in this regard PIL has seen befitting to assist the health sector with donation of medical items.

Kadango reaffirmed PIL commitment in supporting government efforts in provision of health services in the country under its program called Heal our Nation/ Keep our health sector running, adding that under Heal our Nation/Keep our health sector running we have partnered with the Ministry of Health such that we will see a few health institutions benefiting from such donations and Queen Elizabeth Central hospital ,Mangochi District Hospital and Karonga district hospital have already benefited from this program.

He called on the private sector to assist government in ensuring that the public health facilities receive necessary support.
